U13 Footballers Through to Next Round of Autumn Cup

Bantry Blues U14 players and mentors line up to present Eoin Black (centre) with a club jersey as a memento on the occasion of Eoin and his family leaving for Australia.

Bantry’s U13 footballers had a hard fought win over neighbours Tadhg MacCarthaigh in the autumn cup competition game played in Wolfe Tone Park on Saturday evening last. The home team held a slender lead of 2-06 to 2-04 at half time, but extended this in the second half to finish winners by 5-11 to 3-05 in the end. It took a great effort from all to get over the challenge put up by the Caheragh lads but everyone played well with Shane Crowley and Tom Flynn particularly standing out. Bantry Blues will play the winners of Castlehaven and Carbery Rangers in the next round.
Team: James Crowley, Charlie Lavin, Tom Flynn, David O’Sullivan, Shane Crowley, Billy Foley, Shane Murray, Kevin Clifford, Kuba Ratajczak, Daniel Downey, Shane Buckley, James Buckley, Ayrton Doyle, James O’Shea.
The U14 team and mentors made a presentation recently to player Eoin Black on the occasion of Eoin and his family emigrating to Australia. As a memento of his playing days with Bantry Blues, Eoin received a club jersey which we hope will remind him of his former teammates. Bantry Blues GAA club wish the Black family the very best of luck in their new life down under.
